Dean N. Parker Jr. 

An accomplished corporate executive, serial technology entrepreneur, company advisor, public speaker, and community activist. Dean is founder and managing partner of Segen Ventures. In addition to Segen, Dean is the founder and CEO of Vita Capital, an early stage investment firm, and held the position of National Finance Chairman for the Ben Carson 2016 Presidential Campaign. Prior, Dean was founder and CEO of Callis Communications, the leader in unified communications in the southeast, and was acquired by C Spire in 2014. Prior to Callis Dean worked for Ericsson, as indirect distribution manager. Recognized for his outstanding leadership, entrepreneurial excellence, and distinguished success, Dean is co-founder and chairman of 1702, the premier peer network of chief executive officers and business leaders from the most promising emerging and high-growth companies in Mobile, Alabama. He is Regional Vice Chairman for Young Presidents Organization, and serves on various corporate boards, and is a member of DC’s Mindshare CEO Network.  Dean was named as a Finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 Awards. Additionally, Dean has also been selected for Mobile Bay's 40 Under Forty Award, a Finalist for “Executive of the Year” in the 2012 American Business Awards, and CIT GAP 50 Entrepreneur Finalist.  Dean and his wife, Joanne, have four children, Jody, Trey, Lauren, and Zack.

Rebecca G. Garcia

Rebecca is a cofounder of Segen Ventures.  She also serves as Financial and Revenue Reporting manager at Gulf Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company.  Her primary responsibilities include oversight of SEC reporting, monthly financial results reporting to Southern Company, the calculation of various aspects of revenue, contract review and accounting research.  Rebecca began her career at Gulf Power in 1998 and has previously held the position of Budget Supervisor in Corporate Planning and various other positions in multiple departments, including Financial Planning, Financial and Regulatory Reporting, Corporate Accounting, Materials Accounting and Revenue Reporting. Rebecca enjoys traveling, is an avid runner and mother to two beautiful daughters, Kaelyn and Alyssa.
